Dairy Farmers of Canada will
be hosting 13 seminars on Canadian cheese during three days at the Eat
Fraser Valley Festival.
Reg Hendrickson, a trainer/consultant
with Dairy Farmers of Canada will guide you through a ‘sensing’
of six different varieties of cheese at each seminar sharing his knowledge
of the characteristics of soft, semi-soft, firm and delicious blue cheeses.
He will provide some tips on how to store your cheese and how to serve
it as well as give advice on tasty pairings with cheese, wine and beer.
There will be roughly 40 different
cheeses from 11 cheese makers, seven regional cheeses and four national
ones.
In addition to culinary school,
deli and consumer seminars, Reg offers classes and workshops on Canadian
cheeses and wines with the Okanagan Wine Festival Society. His background
as a chef and educator facilitates his ability to present a fun and fact-filled
seminar which will tempt your taste buds.
Join Reg for this seminar and
experience your own senses when it comes to savouring and tasting a wide
range of our amazing Canadian cheeses.
